ABOUT ME

I am passionate about Chinese Medicine and it’s use to prevent disease and enhance quality of life. My personal journey with Chinese Medicine began after fracturing two ribs, leaving me in pain and unable to engage in activities I loved, such as yoga, rock climbing, hiking and even laughing. The relief I experienced from acupuncture was astounding— not just physically but, mentally as well. This transformative experience sparked my curiosity, leading me to enroll at Pacific College of Health and Science to pursue a Master of Science in Acupuncture.

My previous career as a freelance journalist equipped me with the skills to conduct thorough research, gather accurate information, and communicate clearly. Additionally my extensive experience in the service industry as a bartender, server, bartender, pastry chef and prep cook instilled in me a deep sense of compassion.

To graduate from an acupuncture program one must complete three years of internships with different doctors and acupuncturists. During this time, I gained invaluable experience, particularly at New York Harm Reduction Educators (NYHRE), the largest provider of clean syringes in New York State. Serving people often overlooked by society— such as homeless, sex workers, addicts and those with lower incomes— I learned that kindness never goes unnoticed. Acupuncture offered these individuals relief, happiness, and hope. My passion lies in shining a light and bringing new energy into people’s lives to prevent disease and enhance quality of life.
